Behind the lens

My name is Jeff Hopkins and the beautiful lady in the photo with me is my wife Debbie Hopkins. We were married June 22, 2013. I am originally from Tennessee and moved to Des Moines in 1997. I found my love for photography in 1980. I continued my passion when I moved to Des Moines. Over the 34 years I have met so many amazing couples. I have been fortunate to have shared their special moments with them.. I love it when I run into a couple that I  have photographed a wedding or event for when I am out somewhere. It's like running into an old friend. There are so many things to consider when you are looking for a photographer. It is important to not only find someone that does great work but also the attitude of the photographer can help make the day an enjoyable time or not. I like to keep the day fun and try to make everyone feel as comfortable as possible. I feel you have enough to worry about without it being the photographer.
